Current research in the lab investigates neural network connectivity and dynamics involved in cognitive function using stereo-EEG and functional MRI. Another area of research in the lab investigates neuropsychological mechanisms involved in pediatric pain. The lab is directed by Dr. Donald J. Bearden. Current research assistants are undergraduates, post-baccalaureates, and graduate students. Successful applicants interested in joining our team are those who can spend at least one year working in the lab, but two years are encouraged. This time frame allows for multiple opportunities to develop research skills, including authoring posters/presentations at professional conferences and publishing manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. Please check the adjacent "Jobs" heading regarding available positions in the lab.
